Part of our mission is to connect with our community to create more awareness around sustainable consumption. We aim to work with young people in particular to achieve this. The topic of sustainable consumption is one that all can engage with, so we love to hear feedback as we go door to door handing out flyers, or online via our contact box on our website, or on social media.
VapeBox is a social campaign aiming to reduce disposable e-cigarette waste and raise awareness of the harmful effects of vaping on public health and the environment. They use boxes to enable them to collect single-use vapes and recycle them correctly. VapeBox aims to connect college campuses, festivals, nightclubs and pubs with retailers, waste management and recycling companies to combat the significant wastage of disposable vapes.
We aim to support VapeBox through raising awareness of their campaign and supplying them with up to date information on Vape usage from young people through surveying.
Not only is vaping (esspecially single use vapes) something that young people in particular engage with more than other generations, but VapeBox itself was started by two young innovators in Trinity College Dublin, Lucy Daly and Katelyn Davis. As we look at sustainable consumption from the standpoint of young people, it is so important to focus in on what it means to them specifically. This is why VapeBox is the perfect campaign to support.
